Liquidation

Liquidation

Rimonim has decided to publish Felszámolás, as we find this book deals with a huge issue in the lives of its main characters. The narrative of Felszámolás is fascinating as Kertész build a complicated relationship between B. and the two women in his life, trying very hard to solve the existential question of life. The book has a great linkage to the Jewish identity of the third generation after the Holocaust. Even though the book does not deal with the Jewish problem, yet three of its main characters are Jews. The book will have enormous influence on whoever reads it in Israel.

Imre Kertész was born on 9 November 1929 in Budapest, Hungary, won the Nobel Prize of literature in 2002. Four of his books were translated into Hebrew and were warmly welcomed by the Israeli readers.
