We presented our programmes at the international literary festival Authors' Reading Month in Brno
Between July 10-12, 2023, two staff members of the Petőfi Cultural Agency, Margit Garajszki and Dániel Levente Pál participated in the professional conference organized by the Czech Větrné mlýny Publishers in the framework of the Authors' Reading Month international literary festival in Brno.
The aim of the Publishers' Hub was to allow the Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia) and this year's guest of honour (Norway) to introduce themselves, learn about each other's international projects, translation support programmes and grants, as well as the portfolio of major publishers and the image of their international festivals and fellowship programmes.
During the two-day event, Dániel Levente Pál gave a presentation on the Petőfi Cultural Agency, with a special focus on the translation grants, the Hungarian and international writers' residency programme, the PesText festival and The Continental Literary Magazine.
Hungarian literature was also presented by Ágnes Orzóy (Magvető), Sándor Szabó (Csimota), Katalin Vas (Móra) and Zoltán Jeney (Tilia Agency).
It is planned that Hungary will rejoin the festival in 2024, following its guest of honour in 2020, in various cities of the V4 countries. It will provide a venue for the festival's programmes and a showcase for Hungarian authors.

2023. július 10-12. között a Petőfi Kulturális Ügynökség két munkatársa, Garajszki Margit és Pál Dániel Levente részt vett a cseh Větrné mlýny Publishers által szervezett Authors’ Reading Month nemzetközi irodalmi fesztivál keretében megrendezett szakmai konferencián, Brno-ban.
A Publishers’ Hub célja az volt, hogy a visegrádi országok (Csehország, Lengyelország, Magyarország, Szlovákia) és az idei díszvendég ország (Norvégia) kölcsönösen bemutatkozhassanak egymásnak, megismerve egymás nemzetközi projektjeit, fordítástámogatási programjait és pályázatait, illetve a jelentősebb könyvkiadók portfólióját és a nemzetközi fesztiváljaik, fellowship programjaik arculatát.
A két napos rendezvény során a PKÜ-t Pál Dániel Levente mutatta be előadásban, különös tekintetettel a PLF fordítástámogatási pályázataira, a magyar és nemzetközi írórezidencia programra, a PesText fesztiválra és a The Continental Literary Magazine-ra.
A magyar irodalmat mellettük Orzóy Ágnes (Magvető), Szabó Sándor (Csimota), Vas Katalin (Móra) és Jeney Zoltán (Tilia Agency) mutatta be.
A tervek szerint a 2020-as díszvendégséget követően 2024-ben Magyarország újra csatlakozik a fesztiválhoz: helyszínt ad a fesztivál programjainak és magyar szerzők számára is bemutatkozási lehetőséget biztosít.
