Gábor Gyukics visits a poetry festival in Venice

Alongside Italian poets and artists, representatives from Romania, Belgium, Ireland, the United States and Hungary showcased their talents. The festival began with an opening event at the Bistrot de Venise restaurant where participants were introduced through brief biographies. Following the introductions, Italian poets Fabia Ghenzovich and Giovanni Asmundo presented their latest works.

On May 26th, at the Ateneo Veneto, one of Venice's oldest and most renowned cultural institutions, local literary figures delivered welcoming speeches. The invited poets then recited their own poems in their native languages which were projected onto a screen in Italian for the audience to follow. The poems were mostly translated by the artistic director of the festival Anna Lombardo. Two musicians—a flutist, a zither player—and a Guatemalan dancer added a unique atmosphere to the event. Each author received a multilingual anthology featuring the participants' poems, accompanied by illustrations from well-known local artists.

The program on May 27th took place at the Atelier Aperto, a centuries-old printing house and gallery in Venice that still employs traditional printing methods. On this day, an exhibition showcasing the illustrations from the anthology was opened. Following the opening, selected poems from the anthology were recited in two parts, with the artist explaining the impact and reasons behind their chosen poem. The evening concluded with a performance by a Guatemalan female dance group.

Velencei költészeti fesztiválon járt Gyukics Gábor

Gyukics Gábor költő, műfordító 2023. május 25-29. között vehetett részt a XVII. Velencei Költészeti Fesztiválon, mely a béke és humánus megtisztulás jegyében zajlott.

A rendezvénysorozaton olasz költők és művészek mellett román, belga, ír, amerikai és magyar művészek képviselték hazájukat. A Bistrot de Venise étteremben szervezett megnyitóval vette kezdetét a fesztivál, ahol rövid életrajzzal mutatták be a résztvevőket, majd két olasz költő Fabia Ghenzovich, és Giovanni Asmundo aktuális kötetei debütáltak.

Május 26-án az Ateneo Venetoban, Velence egyik legrégebbi és legismertebb kulturális intézményében helyi irodalmárok köszöntői után, a meghívott költők, saját nyelvükön olvasták fel verseiket, amit a közönség kivetítőn követhetett olasz nyelven. A verseket többnyire Anna Lombardo, a fesztivál művészeti vezetője fordította. Az eseményen két zenész, egy fuvolás, egy citerás és egy guatemalai táncosnő varázsoltak sajátos hangulatot. Minden szerző megkapta a résztvevők verseiből készült több nyelvű antológiát, melyet ismert, helyi képzőművészek műveivel illusztráltak.

A május 27-i programot az Atelier Apertoban, Velence évszázados nyomdájában és galériájában rendezték, melynek különlegessége, hogy a mai napig hagyományos módon történik a nyomtatás. Ezen a napon az antológiát díszítő illusztrációk kiállítását nyitották meg. A megnyitót követően pedig két részletben olvastak fel az antológia verseiből, majd a művész mesélte el, hogy milyen módon hatott rá a választott vers, miért pont azt választotta. Az estet egy guatemalai női tánccsoport előadása zárta.
