Show yourself! literary transfer grant in the big cities of Europe

The tour of the Show yourself! grant proceeded in Bracelona and Vienna.

The literary lecture series at the University of Barcelona in Spain, at which students were familiarized with contemporary Hungarian writers and their works, was a great success. The novella titled Gyilkosság a gesztenyefa alatt (Murder under the chestnut tree) written by writer-translator Márta Patak and the work of Miklós György Száraz called Balaton were read aloud. Subsequently, the event continued with more than 3 hours of informal discussion.

At the reading organised by the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Literatur (Austrian Literary Company) and IWM Vienna, nine writers from three neighbouring countries went on stage. Hungary was represented by the volume of novellas titled Balaton by Noémi Kiss in the translation of Éva Zádor. In the volume, Stég (Pier) is the story of a summer murder from the 1980s’ Balaton. The author conversed with György Dallos.

Mutasd Magad! irodalmi transzfer pályázat Európa nagyvárosaiban.

Folytatódott a Mutasd Magad! pályázat körútja Barcelonában és Bécsben is.

Nagy sikerrel zajlott Spanyolországban, a Barcelonai Egyetem irodalmi előadássorozata, ahol kortárs magyar írókkal és műveikkel ismerkedhettek meg a diákok. Patak Márta író, műfordító Gyilkosság a gesztenyefa alatt című novelláját és Száraz Miklós György író Balaton című művét olvastak fel. Ezt követően több mint háromórás kötetlen beszélgetés keretében zajlott tovább a találkozó.

Az Osztrák Irodalmi Társaság és IWM Bécs által szervezett felolvasó esten kilenc író lépett színpadra három szomszédos országból. Magyarországot Kiss Noémi Balaton című novelláskötete képviselte Zádor Éva fordításában. A kötetben szereplő Stég egy nyári gyilkosság története, az 1980-as évek Balatonjáról. A szerző Dallos Györggyel beszélgetett.
