Magyar irodalommal a Föld körül

Idén októberben is folytatódott a Petőfi Kulturális Ügynökség Mutasd magad! irodalmi transzfer pályázata. A felhívás azoknak a hazai szerzőknek és fordítóknak szólt, akik meghívást kaptak valamilyen rangos külföldi rendezvényre, könyvbemutatóra vagy fesztiválra. A PKÜ pályázatával a szerzők nemzetközi irodalmi életben való részvételét és a magyar irodalom határainkon túli népszerűsítését kívánja elősegíteni. A nyertes pályázók Izlandtól az Egyesült Államokon át Dél-Koreáig népszerűsítették a kortárs és klasszikus magyar irodalmat.

-Balla Gergely és Kertai Csenger az USA-ban, a Yale Egyetemen tartott ALSCW (Association of Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers) konferencián mutatta be Csoóri Sándor, Pilinszky János és József Attila munkásságát.

-Szirtes Bence szintén Amerikába utazott és népszerűsítette az Ügynökség saját kiadású irodalmi negyedéves magazinját, a The Continental Literary Magazine-t.

-Gévai Csilla Nagyon Kék könyv című mesekönyvéből olvasott fel az Izlandon élő magyar gyerekeknek, akikkel anyanyelvükön beszélgetett a könyvről és Magyarországról.

-A kenyai Kistrech Nemzetközi Költészeti Fesztiválon, az afrikai kontinens legrangosabb irodalmi fesztiválján, Turczi István saját kötetével népszerűsítette a kortárs magyar irodalmat.

-Szöulban a 13th Changwon KC International Literary Festivalon Zalán Tibor saját versein kívül a hazai irodalom és kultúra jelen helyzetéről is mesélt a résztvevőknek.

Around the world with Hungarian literature

The October applicants of Show yourself! popuralized Hungarian literature in Iceland, America and Asia

The literary transfer grant of the Petőfi Literary Fund named Show yourself! continued in October this year. The call addressed those Hungarian authors and translators who have been invited to any prestigious foreign event, book launch or festival. With the grant, PLF aims to promote the authors’ participation in the international literary life and the foreign popularization of Hungarian literature. The winners popularized contemporary and classic Hungarian literature from Iceland through the US to South Korea.

-Gergely Balla and Csenger Kertai presented the works of Sándor Csoóri, János Pilinszky and Attila József at the ALSCW (Association of Literary Scholars, Critics, and Writers) conference held at Yale University in the US.

-Bence Szirtes traveled to America as well to popularize the agency’s self-published quarterly literary magazine titled The Continental Literary Magazine.

-Csilla Gévai read from her storybook titled Very Blue Book to Hungarian children living in Iceland with whom she talked about the book and Hungary in their mother language.

István Turczi popularized contemporary Hungarian literature with his own volume at the most prestigious literary festival of the African continent, the Kistrech International Poetry Festival in Kenya.

At the 13th Changwon KC International Literary Festival in Seoul, Tibor Zalán talked to the participants about the current situation of Hungarian literature and culture as well as his own poems.
