Hungary seeks to strengthen relations with Mexico
Hungary is the Guest of Honor in the 35th edition of the University Book Fair (Feria Universitaria del Libro, FUL) in Pachuca between August 26 and September 4.
After two years of being held virtually as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 35th edition of the University Book Fair (FUL), has Hungary as the guest of honor and addresses the theme “Water for life” as an axis. The participation of Hungary in the FUL was an opportunity to celebrate the “Hungarian Culture Week in Mexico” which will last until December.
“The general interest is to bring Hungary and Hungarian culture closer to the Mexican public. We want to spread the tourist attractions, to make Hungary known, which is still little known here. We also have commercial and economic objectives. We believe that the best tool for this purpose is precisely the culture”, Gábor Endrényi, Deputy Head of Mission and Cultural Attaché at the Hungarian Embassy.
Hungary hosts one of the leading figures in the literature of the European country: Attila Bartis, one of the most famous contemporary Hungarian writers whose works have been translated into more than 20 languages.
